Liner notes by producer George Avakian, who discovered the velvet-voiced 19-year-old in a San Francisco nightclub and brought him to New York for this album. Terrific jazzy arrangements by Gil Evans, John Lewis, Teo Macero and Bob Prince. Excellent sound quality
